All About Red Violet

We talk so much about copper and red redheads here on the blog, right? Today is the day to bring a new tone to you: The redheads violets ! For those who like different hair, this is undoubtedly an excellent option because you can opt for a clear and flashy shade or choose a more closed, discreet and irreverent one. What guarantees the shine is the health of the hair. Have your hair always hydrated and strong, this way, in addition to preventing fading, you ensure a prettier look. And violet or purple are very democratic shades, and go with any skin tone. If you're afraid to do all your hair, you can opt for strands or an ombré. How to get? Look for inks that have violet in the numbering , but this marking may vary by ink brand. An example is the Igora Royal ink, which has violet as 9. I made a post using the Igora 9.98 ink here , and I got a red with violet highlights that was really nice. But, I let you know that there are not many ink options with this nuance on the market , as they are always associated with other shades and you will rarely get a perfect violet shade. I recommend that you have a cool base color and, from there, use fancy paints like Directions, Lola Colors (various shades available, like “beautiful and purple”), glow baths available in pharmacies, like C. Kamura ( sweet grape and orchid) and Keraton (eggplant) or even mixtures with Gentian Violet (I'll talk about it later). Want to know more about hair base colors? Read my Copper Red Hair Guide so you can understand more about hair dye numbers and shades. Blond hair The ideal is to do a pre-pigmentation before, to avoid fading and better fix the tone. If you use a fancy dye right away, your hair will be very light and pretty flashy. I recommend that you use a paint like Igora 9.98 with a 0.99 mix and low (10vol) hydrogen peroxide and give it shine baths according to the fading. You can even darken the blonde's tone with a dark blonde paint (7.0 or 6.0 + violet mix) and tint it with the glow baths. Do it in a salon, ok? Blonde is the trickiest shade to change . Brown hair It all depends on the shade of your brown hair. The lighter, the more violet it will be. I recommend a streak test beforehand to see if you need to tone it down to your liking. If your hair is virgin , shine baths or dyes without oxidant will hardly fix the color in the strands. Then, paint with a conventional violet paint or neutral paint (7.0 or 6.0) plus a violet mix and go on toning with the ammonia-free gloss baths. When in doubt, always consult a professional. Red hair I think it 's the easiest shade to pick up , however, the background will turn red when you're in the sun, like mine. Just look In my case, I just tinted it with a RED shade mask from Natural Herbs and added gentian violet to the mix. I might as well have used one of the glow baths I indicated.
